Meet Jake McDevitt
Jake is a specialist physiotherapist in adult neurology. His full time practice in the NHS consists of assessing and treating patients following stroke, head injury and neurosurgery. He also has experience in treating patients with chronic neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease.
Jake qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2001 and has since been working in the Western Trust. Following previous physiotherapy rotations, Jake took a keen interest in the area of adult neurology and over the last few years has specialised in this field. Jake has recently completed Bobath training with the aim of completing advanced training in the next few years. As a Neurophysiotherapist Jake has experience in providing individualised treatment plans with the goal of adapting or regaining functional ability that may have been affected following neurological impairment. He is a member of the Health Professionals Council and a member pot the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
